March 2021 - Present: The LEGO Group - Senior Applications Engineer

Spearheaded the development and refactor of features across multiple products, notably an endless isle app (LISA) and a loyalty points app (LUCA). Led a payment refactor, reducing payment issues from about 3% of orders to 0% (1-2 per quarter), all by transitioning to an event-driven architecture.

Migrated cart management from GraphQL to REST-API, unlocking a slew of previously inaccessible features.

Facilitated TypeScript migration, set up Detox, and revamped the release pipeline using Fastlane. Architected key features such as PayByLink, enhancing the payment flow efficiency.

Orchestrated the transition to React Native with ExpoSDK, implemented Fastlane to streamline the release process, and shifted to GitHub Actions, reducing release times by 30%.

October 2018 - March 2020: Hostmaker - Lead Mobile Developer

Refactored application modules, transforming outdated MVP components into scalable, updated infrastructure. Notably improved authentication, issue reporting, and payment flows. Migrated codebase from class-based to function components, enhancing maintainability and performance. Introduced new features like key scanning and chat.

Technologies used: React Native, React-Native-Elements, Redux, Zendesk for issue reporting plus chat, later Pusher ChatKit and Stripe for payments. CircleCI for CI/CD, FastLane and CodePush for smoother releases. Authentication migrated to aws-amplify and push notifications are using firebase.

From March 2017, I've worked for a leading elevator manufacturer, developing a mobile application (Xamarin, then React Native) that can monitor the equipment in real time.

January 2015 - September 2015: Bachelors Degree project

• Hashtag search engine for posts form Twitter and Instagram. Includes live time trending searches and suggested/related searches.
• Built using MeteorJS, the respective REST APIs (RIP) and some no-thrills Bootstrap. Add a layer of CordovaJS, and you get a wonderful mobile application.

July 2013 - May 2014: Bigstep Infrastructure - Junior Software Developer

• Created a C# SDK connected to the existing PHP API.
